Lorien McKenna is a writer for film and television. She has set up projects with NBC/WBTV, Hulu/Rideback, Netflix, Jackal Group and Endless Media. She’s also written projects for Funko and Barajoun Animation. She currently has several TV and film projects in Development.
McKenna’s experience includes ten years at Pixar Animations Studios in Story Development (RATATOUILLE, UP, BRAVE, INSIDE OUT, THE GOOD DINOSAUR); as Associate Producer on Paramount Animation’s WONDER PARK; at ReelFX Animation as a Story Consultant; and as the Co-Executive Producer for the CURIOUS GEORGE animated TV Series. Additionally, she is a Script Editor for Screen Australia on multiple projects. She is also a proud mentor for the Cinestory Foundation and the Bric Foundation. McKenna provides Story and Creative Management Consulting services to studios, large corporations and individual writers.
McKenna graduated from St. Mary’s College of California with a B.A. in English Literature and Performing Arts and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing. She was a founding playwright for GUILTY THEATER and was an Adjunct Professor with courses that included Playwriting, Shakespeare and Intro to Theater.
McKenna lives in Glendale with her husband, daughter and tiny weird dog, Cricket.
